The ingredients needed to make Ghee and Zeera Rice:
- Get 2 cups Basmati Rice
- Make ready 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- Get 1 tsp Ginger grated
- Get 6-7 Raisins
- Make ready 1 tbsp Green Chilli paste
- Make ready 3-4 tbsp Ghee
- Get 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Take 3-4 Cloves

Steps to make Ghee and Zeera Rice:
- Soak rice in enough water for about 20 minutes. Drain and cook it al dente with salt added. Keep aside. In a pot, heat Ghee and add Cumin seeds, Sliced Onion, Cloves, Raisins, Bay Leaf, grated Ginger and Green Chilli paste.
- Saute all for a minute or two. Now add the cooked Rice and stir lightly taking care not to break the grains.
- Serve it hot with Pickle, Raita and Poppadums. I served it with Green Beans Pickle, Bottle Gourd Pickle and Aaloo cubes.
