The ingredients needed to make Khoya Khaja:
  1. Get 500 gm plain flour
  2. Make ready 2 cup sugar (for sugar syrup(sheera))
  3. Make ready 1 tb spn corn flour based powder. (a difference b/w corn flour and Makai ka ata)
  4. Take Water for kneading and sugar syrup
  5. Take 1 ltr Clarified butter
  6. Make ready food colors red, green
  7. Get 250 gm khoya
Instructions to make Khoya Khaja:
  1. Take plain flour and make a centre in it then add clarified butter in it, mix it and then knead it with water as a normal dough.
  2. Make 4 portions of khaja dough, for dough coloring, - 2 portion of as it is dough will be large, - 1 portion of red colored and another 1 will be green colored.
  3. Mix 1 tbl spn of corn flour and 1 tbl spn of clarified butter,n and take it a side.
  4. Roll 3 doughs separately.
  5. After rolling take simple dough first, apply corn flour and clarified butter mixture on it then cover it with red colored and green colored dough from a little bit distant. Then apply the corn flour mixture on it.
  6. Sprinkle some plain flour on the dough.
  7. Roll it.
  8. Cut 1 inches pieces of the rolled dough, twist it and then press it. - do this for all 1 inched cut pieces dough.
  9. Take 1 piece then add it in 1 tbl khoya, cover it with another piece, and set it as the khaja design.
  10. After making all going to khajas. take clarified butter in Karahi and put it in low flame. Fry khajas in low flame.
  11. For sugar syrup (sheera) - add 2 cups of sugar with 1 cup of water and make one wire consistency syrup. take a side.
  12. After frying, put all khajas in sheera for at least 20 minutes.
