- Saute the chopped onion and chillies in the gee until soft. Do not brown. Add the garlic and ginger paste and cook for another minute or so until the raw smell goes away.
- Take off the heat and let cool a little. Grind to a fine powder using a pestle and mortar or a spice grinder.
- Take the onion mixture of the heat and put into a blender with a 1/4 cup of water and the spice masala. Blend into a smooth pure.
