Instructions to make Foul_medammas
fava_beans:
- Method of boiling: Soak the fava beans in a deep bowl with the tsp of bicarbonate soda for 24 hrs.
- As for the chickpeas soak using the same process
- After 24 hours wash the fava beans and the chickpeas well before boiling.
- Boil the fava beans and the chickpeas separately in a deep pot with a sufficient amount of water on high heat
- Once boiling has started remove the foam that appears on top of the pot
- Lower the heat then cover the pot so that the water doesn't pour over
- When the fava beans and the chickpeas have cooked, leave aside to cool down
- Preparation:
2 cups of boiled fava beans
- 1 cup of boiled chickpeas And crushed garlic
- In a deep bowl add the fava beans the chickpeas, crushed garlic, lemon juice and salt
- Mash all ingredients using the hand grinder until all has mixed in together
- Serve on a plate with a drizzle of oil oil
- Decorate with chopped parsley
- Serve with tomato, onions and pickles
