  2. Make ready as needed Oil
  3. Get 1 stick cinnamon
  4. Prepare 2 pieces clove
  5. Take 3 pieces cardamom
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
  7. Take 4 smashed cloves of garlic
  8. Prepare 1 sliced tomato
  9. Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Take 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  11. Prepare to taste Salt
  12. Get to taste Sugar
  13. Make ready 1 pinch garam masala

While chicken is one of the most commonly eaten meats, the liver is often overlooked as an undesirable part of the bird. Chicken liver does contain a large amount of cholesterol, but it also supplies healthy doses of many essential vitamins and minerals. Instead, add the liver after all the chicken pieces are well coated, and smear the liver with the marinade then. Stick the used lime peel in between the chicken pieces.

  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan
  2. Add the cinnamon, clove and cardamom
  3. Add the onion and saute it till the onion becomes translucent
  4. Sprinkle a little water and add the smashed cloves of garlic and the tomato
  5. Saute for about 2 minutes then add the turmeric, chilli powder and salt
  6. When the masala is properly mixed, put in the pieces of liver and add a little water
  7. Saute it till the masala is blended with the pieces of liver
  8. Then add water and cover the pan with a lid
  9. Leave it for sometime, stirring it occasionally.
  10. When the liver is is cooked and the gravy is thick and dry, add sugar and a pinch of garam masala
  11. Stir it one final time
  12. Serve

For best results, leave it to marinate overnight.. This recipe for tagliatelle with chicken liver is based on one that comes from Emilia-Romagna and is pretty simple to make. I love the use of beaten egg yolks, milk and Parmesan mixed with the hot pasta to give it a creamy consistency before adding the liver to the dish!
