The ingredients needed to make Kesar Pista Peda:
  1. Take 3/4 cup sugar
  2. Get 3/4 cup lukewarm milk
  3. Take 2 cups Nestle milk powder
  4. Prepare 2-3 tbsp ghee
  5. Get 1/2 tsp saffron strands dissolved & grind to paste in 2 tbsp warm milk
  6. Prepare 1 tsp elachi powder
  7. Prepare 4-5 pistachio chopped into slices to garnish
Instructions to make Kesar Pista Peda:
  1. In mixing bowl add sugar and lukewarm milk. Mix well with spoon till sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add milk powder in batches in this sugar- milk mixture. Mix well to make lump free mixture.
  3. In thick bottom pan add heat 1 tbsp ghee,as it melts add milk powder-milk- sugar mixture in it. Stirring constantly on medium flame.
  4. Add remaining ghee and mix & cook well till thickens. To check if mixture is done.. drop little bit of peda mixture in water filled cup..if round ball is formed (and dosen't spread).
  5. Add cardamom powder and saffron paste in it. Mix well and stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Off the flame. Cool the mixture. Grease your hands with little ghee. Take little portion from prepared peda mixture. Give round flatten shape. Place on plate. Garnish with pistachio slices as shown.
  6. Let it add more sweetness to your relationships.💞💞
