  5. Bake in a preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes at 170°C.
  6. When they cool you can brush them with the glaze that you have aldready prepared by mixing melted chocolate couverture with a little bit of milk and brandy or just plain melted chocolate couverture.
  7. Store in a metal container.

Kourabiedes are Greek cookies, similar to shortbread cookies which are flavoured with vanilla, filled with toasted almonds and when baked they are coated in icing sugar. There are many recipes for kourabiedes but the main ingredient which gives this traditional Greek cookie its taste is the Greek ewe's and goat milk butter. Kourabiedes are the Greek equivalent of a nutty, buttery shortbread and in fact the Mexican cuisine has something very similar but with actual pieces of nut (usually pecans) throughout which they call Wedding cakes.
