  5. Fill the jars with the hot jelly, secure, and turn upside down. Let stand on the lid for 10 - 15 min. Then turn again to create a vacuum in the jar. With a bow it becomes a nice little present.
  6. Enjoy as spread, with pancakes or with meat.

Assemble the Cookies:If the mulled wine jelly has hardened too much to make it difficult to spread. slowly warm it up over a very low flame until it softens a bit. Sprinkle a layer of powdered sugar on a small flat plate. Use a small pastry knife to spread the mulled wine jelly on the. Add wine, bring to simmer and strain. Whisk in the soaked gelatine sheets.
