Turn out onto a floured surface, and roll dough out into a large rectangle. The dough should be rolled fairly thinly, like you would dough for cinnamon rolls.

Roll like a jelly roll and pinch edges to seal, then place in a greased pan. Roll each biscuit thin & flat, out a pat of butter in center sprinkle with brown sugar, gold over, press edges together. - Gather the crumble flour together and shape the dough into a ball shape. Knead the dough by hands until less sticky. Fold in butter and knead until smooth. This process usually takes 15 mins.
- Knead the dough into a ball shape, let it rest in warm place (around 40C) for 30 min or until the dough is double in size.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Knead the dough into a ball and flatten out the dough. Fold the dough into triangular shape and carefully roll the dough into a long strip (around 20cm) then slightly flatten out. Roll the dough from thicker side and you will get a butter roll shape dough. Pitch to close the dough.
- Place the dough in warm place (40C) for 30 min again. Preheat the oven to 180C.
- After that, the dough should be doubled in size. Brush the dough with egg wash and coat them with sesame seeds.
- Place the dough in the oven at 170C and bake for 15-17min or until golden brown.
- When the bread is done, place them on the wire rack to cool completely.
Jennifer/Christy - I live near Fayetteville and eat at Marvin's a couple of times a month. That was the first place I had ever seen Butter Roll. They still have Butter Roll, but it seems as though their recipe has changed over the last couple of years. Sort of disappointing, as the crust is very soft now instead of crunchy on top. Butter is an absolute necessity when it comes to preparing delicious grilled vegetables!
