  1. Prepare 1 cup Cooked basmathi rice
  2. Get 3 tbsp Ghee
  3. Get 1 inch Cinnamon
  4. Get 2 Cardamom
  5. Make ready 3 Cloves
  6. Get 1 Bay leaf
  7. Prepare 1 Star anise
  8. Make ready 1 tbsp Splitted Cashews
  9. Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  10. Take As needed Salt
  11. Prepare Garnish Coriander

Add in rice, coconut milk, water and salt. Let the pressure escape by itself. Open the cooker and fluff up the rice. In a medium-sized pot, heat the ghee and add the cumin seeds, chili, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick.

Instructions to make Ghee Rice (Sauted):
  1. Wash basmathi rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and cook the rice by adding 1 tbsp of ghee, pinch of salt.

Once rice cooked, let it cool for 15 minutes.

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee, once melted add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, star anise and cumin seeds.

Once cumin seeds done add cashews. once cashews turns golden add bit salt, and cooked rice. Saute for 30 sec and close with lid, let it be for 1 minute in low flame.

  1. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any gravy..
