  1. Pressure cook the daal with a pinch of hing and turmeric powder for 3 whistle
  2. In a frying pan add ghee and oil and heat it. Add jeera and hing to it and let jeera crackle. Then add garlic, green chillies and ginger and saute it for a minute. Add onions to it and saute it till becomes translucent. After that, add tomatoes and let it cook with lid on till the tomatoes becomes pulpy.
  3. Add daal, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt to the mixture. Stir it and let it boil for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Finally for tadka heat ghee and add jeera,dry red chillies, red chilli powder and garlic and pour it over the daal
  5. Garnish it with coriander
