Instructions to make Schezwan Broccoli:
- Firstly wash the broccoli very well and cut into small pieces.
- Next we will prepare the batter, in a bowl take wheat flour, cornflour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, 1 tsp pepper powder and add salt as per taste.
- Mix all these dry ingredients and gradually add water to make thick batter.
- Dip the broccoli pieces into this batter and deep fry in hot oil until the outer coat turns nice crispy and lightly golden brown.
- Once the Broccolis are done keep them aside.
- Next in a pan take 2 tbsp oil, into this saute the garlic and onions on medium flame, after a minute add in the capsicum. Season them with salt and 1tsp of pepper.
- Once the onions start to turn translucent add in the vinegar and give a nice stir then pour in Scheshwan sauce, soya sauce and ketchup.
- Stir everything well and continue cooking on medium flame.
- Into this add the fried broccoli and toss them well so that each broccoli gets nice coat of Scheshwan sauce.
- Cook for two minutes finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Scheshwan sauce. A little dip of hot tasty broccoli into Scheshwan sauce makes it irresistible.
