- Get 1/2 cup wheat flour
- Take 1/2 tsp yeast
- Get 1/2 teaspoon sugar

- Get 1 small onion
- Prepare 2 cloves garlic

- Take 4 walnuts cut in small pieces
- Make ready To taste Salt

- Get For Pomegranate chutney
- Make ready 1 pomegranate
- Make ready 1 tablespoon sugar
- Get 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder (degi)
- Take 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

Steps to make Siddu:
- In a bowl take some lukewarm water, add sugar and yeast & keep it for 10 minutes to activate yeast.
- After 10 minutes, in a bowl mix all the ingredients of dough & make soft dough. Rest it for 1 hours.
- Soak poppy seeds in water for 1/2 an hour.
- In a mixer grind all the ingredients of filling except walnuts & make coarse mixture. Transfer in a bowl and add walnuts and mix.
- After one hours roll the dough like a roti, put filling on half side & fold the remaining half on it to make semi circle, lock by applying water and seal it with the help of fork. Rest it for 15 minutes.
- Now steam for 20 minutes.
- Decorate with coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds and serve hot with pomegranate chutney & pure ghee.
- For chutney, take out pomegranate seeds, keep aside 2 tablespoons seeds and grind remaining in mixer. Sieve the juice and transfer in a wok. Boil the juice with other ingredients for 5 minutes. Remove from flame and add remaining pomegranate seeds and serve with hot siddu.
