  5. Heat oil in a deep pan and carefully slide the prepared dal vadas one by one in the hot oil. On a medium flame deep fry the dal vadas until golden and crisp on both the sides.
  6. Transfer the fried dal vadas to a kitchen tissue to get rid of extra oil.
  7. Serve the chana dal vada hot with onion, green chilli and puffed rice (murmure).

Wash the dal in a bowl several times or under running water and transfer to a bowl. Do not over soak the chana dal or else the dal vadas won't turn out crispy on frying.
