I'm sure you can tell by the many chapati recipes that exist in my blog! There are pumpkin chapatis, super soft layered chapatis, Moroccan msemen inspired chapatis and now these current ones, coconut cream chapatis. Separate ball into four smaller ones. Coconut flour, psyllium husk, water, a little baking powder and a pinch of salt, make this fabulous and versatile keto flat bread, which could also work as a tortilla or a wrap.

Instructions to make Coconut chapati #coconutchapati:
  1. Gather all your ingredients
  2. In a mixing bowl, pour your water. Add salt to taste and the coconut cream. Mix well. I always start with water for my case except for when am preparing chapati for more than 10 people.
  3. Start adding your flour in bits and start mixing
  4. Keep adding the flour to your dough till it stops sticking to your hands. Transfer to a clean working surface and continue kneading till smooth. Your dough shouldn’t be too soft or hard either. So tread softly in the process of adding the flour.
  5. Once done kneading, place the dough to your mixing bowl. Cover with cling film and set aside at room temperature. Let it sit for 30minutes. If by accident the dough turned out to be hard, you can extend the time to one hour. The dough becomes soft for easy spreading 😊
  6. After 30mins, dust your working surface and transfer your dough there. Spread it out in preparation for dividing it. Apply some oil on the dough
  7. Divide the dough to get sizeable pieces for your chapatis. Roll them to ball like shapes starting from one end
  8. Place your pan on your cooker and let it heat and be ready for frying the chapatis. Also prepare place to put your chapatis after cooking
  9. Back to the dough. Roll each ball to round shaped chapati. Apply the pressure equally on your rolling pin to avoid having non- uniform thickness
  10. Once your pan is hot enough, add 1 tbsp of cooking oil followed by your chapati.
  11. Let that side cook then flip for the other to cook as well.
  12. Repeat the process for the other dough balls remaining. Look of the end product 🤤
  13. Serve with beef/mutton/ any cereal stew. Served mine with buttered creamy mutton😋😋

Ketohusband says it resembles a roti or chapati more than a naan. Apparently, naan is larger and thicker, whilst roti and chapati are unleavened, much thinner, and. This coconut flour naan is so easy to make and calls for just three ingredients! It's a multi-purpose flatbread that you can use as a tortilla, wrap, crepe, sandwich bread - you name it. My recipe is paleo, gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free AND nut-free.
