  1. Get 100 grams paneer/cottage cheese (I make mine at home, but you can but it in a supermarket)
  2. Take 3 tsp tikka masala
  3. Take 1/2 tsp salt
  4. Take 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  5. Get 1 clove minced garlic and ginger
  6. Get 4 tsp plain yoghurt (i use homemade)

For making paneer tikka, we marinate the paneer pieces with yogurt and some spices and then pan roast them before putting them in the curry. Paneer Tikka is so quick and tasty, it makes a delicious dinner cooked in the oven, under the grill or even on the barbecue. What's better than a cheese based main course? Just to note, I have occasionally seen a SOFT version of Paneer, more like a cottage cheese.

Steps to make Paneer tikka (cottage cheese):
  1. Cut the cottage cheese into 1 inch cubes and set aside
  2. In a bowl, mix everything well and add the cheese. Allow to marinate for a few hours because it soaks in all the juicy marinade. When you want to cook it, skewer it seperating each with a pepper chopped to approx. the same size as the cheese (green red yellow or all) this is amazing for bbq's so it uses low heat and gets super tender
  3. NB: this is not like regular cheese, it doesnt melt so to know when it is ready, just break it, it should not be too rubbery and should not flake when breaking it

Paneer Tikka Masala, a marinated paneer cubes grilled to perfection and then cooked in a spicy gravy, is delicious in every bite.
