- Heat oil and add onions,fry till brown,remove from heat,allow to cool and then grind with little water to make a fine paste.
- Heat the remaining oil and add the cloves, black peppercorns,cardamoms and cinnamon, saute till nice fragrant.
- Now add onion paste and cook well.
- Add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste. Saute until raw smell of masala goes away
- Add yogurt / dahi/curd,mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add coriander powder, crushed black pepper, turmeric powder red chilli powder,salt and sugar.. Mix and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 1 cup water, cottage cheese cubes and cream and mix.
- Cover the pan with a aluminium foil and and keep a lid over this. Simmer the gas and cook for 15 minutes on low flame. Ensure you have added enough water to the gravy,else it may get burnt at the bottom.
- Now open it,if it is little bit watery then cook further if you like to dry it up.
