- Reduce the heat. Now begin adding the cream bit by bit, whisking continuously so that it doesn't get lumpy. Do the same with the milk. Simmer for 5 minutes whisking constantly. Add a bit more milk if it's too thick.
- Remove from the heat. Stir in the cheese. Keep on stirring until all the cheese is melted. Enjoy.
In a large ovenproof skillet, melt about half the anchovy butter. Add anchovies and cook, stirring and smashing, until they have fully dissolved into the sauce.
