The ingredients needed to make Talbina:
- Prepare 1 litre milk
- Prepare 3/4 cup barley porridge (jau daliya)
- Take 1 table spoon honey
- Prepare 10-13 dates.
- Make ready 1 tea spoon kewra water
- Take 1/2 tea spoon green cardamom powder
Steps to make Talbina:
- Soake dates in lukewarm water for 1hour.Keep aside.
- Take milk in a pan and boil for 5 minutes on medium flame.Add barley.
- Cook for 10minutes on low flame till barley is soft.
- Chopped dates and add to barley.Cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes,add cardemom powder and honey.
- Now talbina is ready,add kewra water and remove frome stove.
- Take out in serving bowl,garnish with dates/dry fruits(optional).Serve.
