The ingredients needed to make Talbina:
  1. Prepare 1 litre milk
  2. Prepare 3/4 cup barley porridge (jau daliya)
  3. Take 1 table spoon honey
  4. Prepare 10-13 dates.
  5. Make ready 1 tea spoon kewra water
  6. Take 1/2 tea spoon green cardamom powder
Steps to make Talbina:
  1. Soake dates in lukewarm water for 1hour.Keep aside.
  2. Take milk in a pan and boil for 5 minutes on medium flame.Add barley.
  3. Cook for 10minutes on low flame till barley is soft.
  4. Chopped dates and add to barley.Cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes,add cardemom powder and honey.
  5. Now talbina is ready,add kewra water and remove frome stove.
  6. Take out in serving bowl,garnish with dates/dry fruits(optional).Serve.
