  1. Rinse Butter Beans and drain well. Place all Butter Beans into a food processor and make them into paste.

  3. *Note: If you wish to cook Dry Butter Beans by yourself, I recommend to use Larger Butter Beans (Lima Beans). Soak the beans overnight. Next day, rinse and drain the beans, remove skins, then cook in water until absolutely tender.

Use it to make our Shiro-An Vanilla Ice Cream. White Bean Paste or Shiroan is commonly used as a filling for wagashi (Japanese confectionery) such as mochi and manju. The paste has a milder bean taste, so it makes a great alternative to red. This method is the easiest way to make 'Shiro-an' or something that looks and tastes like it.
