Traditionally this is deep fried, but I pan fried it with a little bit of oil to make it even more healthy. Healthy, yummy and loaded with flavors, these Beetroot Tikkis are perfect to have during Winter. You can either boil beetroot and mash them or you can grate them. I have used grated beetroot for this.

Steps to make Yummy yum tikkis:
  1. Wash, peel and cut yum and potato into pieces. Then boil by steaming. For that, you can use steamer.
  2. Then mash them. In a mixing bowl take mashed Yum and potato mixture. Add salt, chat masala, black pepper powder, crushed green chillies, cornflour and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Then prepare equal size balls and give shape of tikkis.
  3. Coat tikkis with cornflour and shallow fry in hot oil. Yummy yum tikkis are ready to serve. Serve with green chutney or curd.
  4. Note: if you want to make falahari, use arrowroot instead of cornflour.

Perfect to have it for snacks with ketchup or any chutney of your choice. Once the potatoes have been boiled and mashed, add in all the other ingredients.
