  1. Take 1/2 kg raw Rice

  3. Make ready 1 1/2 cups Green gram or Sabut Moong

  5. Make ready 2 Bay Leaves
  6. Make ready 6-7 Cloves
  7. Make ready 2 Cinnamon sticks small

  9. Make ready 3 tbsp Ghee
  10. Make ready 2 Onions finely chopped
  11. Take 1 small bunch Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  12. Get 3-4 Green Chillies slit
  13. Make ready 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
Steps to make Whole Moong Daal Pulao:
  1. Cook Rice as usual and keep aside. Boil Dal with little Salt Heat Ghee or Butter. Add Onions and Garlic mince. Saute well. Add all the ingredients one by one.
  2. After a minute of sauteeing, add the Dal. Give it a good stir and let it cook for about 2 minutes on a low heat. Transfer the cooked Rice into it and mix well with light hands.
  3. Do not stir hard. Garnish with Coriander Leaves and serve hot with any Raita of your choice. I just had it with Mango pickle. For the kids, i served it with a simple Omelette. Enjoy!
