  2. Cook on high 3 hrs. Or low 5 hrs.
  3. Serve with side of baked potato, or crusty bread and mustard.

The shelf stable variety isn't bad, but the refrigerated version is usually better. Add the sausage, sauerkraut and pepper. Combine the beer and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar melts and the mixture is slightly thickened; set aside. Cut the kielbasa into links and place in a slow cooker. Pour the beer and brown sugar mixture over top.
