The ingredients needed to make Camembert French Toast:
  1. Take 1 Sliced white bread
  2. Make ready 2 tbsp Milk
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp Sugar
  4. Get 1 medium Egg
  5. Prepare 2 pieces Camembert cheese (I used pre-sliced Meiji Hokkaido Tokachi)
  6. Prepare 1 Margarine
Instructions to make Camembert French Toast:
  1. I decided to try it with a wheel of Camembert that I received as a gift.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200C. Coat the ramekins with margarine. Cut the bread into 25 pieces.
  3. Beat the egg, sugar, and milk in a bowl until the egg white is broken up.
  4. Soak the bread in Step 3.
  5. Flip the pieces over halfway through the soaking process.
  6. As in the picture, put a piece of the Camembert cheese in each ramekin.
  7. Pile the soaked bread on top.
  8. Top with a second layer of bread with a piece of soaked bread in the center to cover the cheese. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes to finish.

  10. When eating, first eat the center piece. The cheese will stick to the bread and it's so delicious!
