  1. Peel the ridge gourd, wash and cut into small pieces.Chop the onion.
  2. Heat oil in a kadahi.Add celery seeds now add hing and chopped onion.
  3. When onion turn red add turmeric and red chilli powder.Now add ridge gourd.
  4. Mix it well on low flame.Now add salt according to taste.Cover the kadhai after 10 minute open it and check.
  5. If ridge gourd became soft then add garam masala and off the flame. If not then cover again for 5 minute.
  6. If it cooked well then switch the flame off add some ghee.Serve with chapati.
