Spice powders: Red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala / kitchen king masala and amchur(dry mango powder) have been used to make this delicious Indian stir fry with kidney beans. Tomato sauce: A little bit of tomato sauce is added to this recipe. This is also optional and makes the stir fry delicious and. Add the soaked and drained chana dal.

    1. wash the beans and wipe it. Now start to slit into two. Keep aside.
  1. Dry roast urid dal in medium heat till nice aroma comes and it change to light pink. Finally add red chilli and roast for till it change to light brown colour. Cool and grind to crumble powder

  2. Heat oil in kadai add mustard, hing saute for 2 min and add salt and saute another 3 minutes in medium flame.

    1. Add a glass of water with cooking soda. Cooking soda helps to retain the colour of the beans. If you guys don't want it you can add pinch of sugar instead of soda. Close with lid and cook. It will be ready in 5 minutes.
  3. After all the water evaporates add the masala saute nicely till masala coats all over the place. Fry nicely and serve with any main course. Even this goes well with chapathi…

Stir fry for a couple minutes. Sprinkle turmeric and add the boiled/steamed beans. Stir fry adding the ground masala. Add salt as needed and remove from fire. Serve as a side dish along with rice and Dal/Sambar.
