Instructions to make Mohanthal with condensed milk:
  1. In a bowl mix the milk, 1 tablespoon ghee and gram flour until it resembles bread crumbs. Leave it aside for 1/2 hour. - Sieve the flour ensuring there are no lumps or blitz it in a food processor. - Add ghee in a pan and heat on medium heat. Add the flour to the ghee and keep stirring while cooking ensuring it does not stick in the bottom of the pan. Cook until golden brown and should be aromatic. Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
  2. Add condensed milk and milk powder and mix well. Keep stirring the mixture until the mixture is fluffy and the ghee leaving sides. Transfer the mixture in a greased tin. Sprinkle the poppyseeds. Garnish with saffron, slivered pistachios and almonds - Allow to cool and set for about half an hour. Cut in desired shapes.
